It’s hard to face the guilt and discomfort of being the one to have to apologize to someone. How do you look into their eyes and express your regret? With sincerity and honesty. Facing these feelings will be the best thing for all involved. Emotional health begins with a conscience free of guilt and regret. So apologize and ask for forgiveness for your mistake or wrong doing. While you’re at it, forgive yourself. Holding on to the negative feelings you have associated with the event will only cause you more unhappiness. So let it go, learn and let yourself heal from the experience. Mend your relationship with the person you hurt, if at all possible and move on in a positive direction.
